2020 has been a year of up’s and down’s for all of us and in some cases it was a year of change and growth for some, and others have seen their businesses decimated by restrictions surrounding Covid 19, I have seen some of my clients embrace the change and adapt their business models to work around the restrictions and then I have seen those just throw in the towel and give up.

Once thing that is for sure, no matter how your business performed over the past 12 months or how you adapted, it has been hard on all of us and it has taken its toll mentally and physically.

SDDS Web Design has had a good year in that we have helped many new customers adapt to the “New Normal”, specifically with regards to online stores.

We formed a strategic relationship with a local marketing company where we are able to cross sell each others services.

We have moved over to a new invoicing system which is not only more user friendly in that it allows our clients to log in and view their invoices and statements, but it is more automated, thus allowing us to focus on design rather than admin.

We brought on a new team member, or rather a business partner. My wife Claire, is assisting with our marketing and also is able to add the “Feminine Touch” to Website Design and with her diploma in Psychology and her keen eye for detail is a valuable asset to the business.

We launched a new division in December called Rhino Hosting, which specifically focuses on Domain Registration and Hosting and is a fully automated system, thus allowing clients to register and set up everything themselves. The best part about Rhino Hosting is that as part of our social responsibility, we are donating 5% of turnover to Project Rhino KZN.

What will 2021 hold ? Who knows …. But as they say “Adapt or Die”, so we will continue focusing on growth and adapting to the world around us. We would like to take this opportunity to wish all our customers and subscribers a Happy New Year and pray that you and your family remain safe and protected in the coming months.

Best Regards

Chad and Claire
